Although he has not always been a favorite of mine, as far as comedians or actors go, I must admit I like how he thinks. I read a message by George Carlin and was taken aback as his points hit home. I felt the need to share. Enjoy ...

How many times have we all wished on a shooting star or made a wish before we blew out our birthday candles? That's what I think of every time I hear "Airplanes" by B.o.B, ft. Hayley Williams of Paramore . What things would I wish for if I had a chance? Well, that's another post.
What's Your Writing Style?

I found a quiz online that poked a stick at my curiousity. I love reading, but more than that I love writing. Add those two things to this witty quiz intro created by shrike and tell me that you could walk away without answering a few simple questions.
There comes a time in every person's life where they come to figure out just who they are, what they want in life, and who they want to be with for the rest of that life, pathetic as it may be. Sadly, friends, today is not that day; Today, you must take my quiz to better hone your abilities as a writer and see where your strong points lie. Who knows? You may be a different writer than you thought you were...

Have you ever had a song that started out one way and then ... does a complete 180. You're so stunned that you can't do anything else but listen, only to realize that you're humming the tune as you go about your day. Well, for fun I thought I would share one such song. Enjoy.

My youngest daughter has a teacher that has posted his 10 commandments for his classroom. If the students break a rule, "forget" their homework or feed it to their dogs or even come to class unprepared; he makes them write the commandments 10 times each (or more). Unfortunately my child knows them by heart. I thought that I would share them with you.

Have you ever wondered how this red and pink heart-filled, card-sending, candy-giving, love song-playing holiday for lovers started? I never really cared. I was just happy to get my box of chocolates, hear professions of my sweetheart’s undying love and enjoy my steak dinner. That is until I heard a piece of the history surrounding the infamous day of love from a movie rightly named “Valentine’s Day”.

John gave his brother James a box:
About it there were many locks.
James woke and said it gave him pain;
So gave it back to John again.
The box was not with lid supplied
Yet caused two lids to open wide:
And all these locks had never a key
What kind of box, then, could it be?
Read more to find the answer.

Newlyidentified , one of the many blogs that I follow, posted a blog about a basic personality profile offered by The Color Code . Of course I only took the basic test, as it was the free one, but I after I received my results I am considering getting a full report. It seems that I am a BLUE. Oddly enough, the results are close to being spot on. Interesting ...
